A 19th century Chinese cream silk panel, Qing Dynasty, of unusual form perhaps ceremonial, perhaps an apron, as the lower edge is curved and fitted with a pocket, two further straight sides leading to a narrow top edge, the sides other than the pocket embroidered in shades of blue with flowers and fighting birds, the pocket with a central feature of urns and flags, the reserves with beasts, birds and bats, framed and glazed, approx. 55 cm square (Shipping category F)
