AN 19TH CENTURY BRONZE BUST OF A CLASSICAL FEMALE, after the antique, on marble socle, 49cm high
The socle has a large chip to the foot rim at the back, approx. 7cm across. At the front there is a crack which arcs through the socle over a span of approx. 10-11cm. The back of the neck has two sets of 'arms', roughly cast, which hold a metal vertical strap the sits into the marble up through the arms and into the head to hold the bronze into the socle. Some chipping to the marble around the fixing point.
