Ann Collier: An intricate leaf designed to form a posy when closed, the monture of wood, carved and pierced and painted gold, the flowers all in needlelace applied to black net, the flowers worked in shades of cream and apricot, the leaves in several strong greens, some outlined in gold thread, the flowers with layered petals and the leaves overlapping, sitting well over the upper guard, beads of different shapes and sizes in gold or green added to some of the leaves and some of the flowers, needle lace initials to the centre of the left side flower, guard approx. 27 cm. (Shipping category C)

Damage to the underside of the upper guard, crudely repaired, some of the ribs would benefit from reapplication. This is not the patented posy fan design here the flowers wrap around the back.
