C 1890’s, an unusual incised bone fan mounted with a leaf of cream silk, bordered with a floral machine lace, and featuring a sketch in the centre showing a lady and her suitor seated on a sofa, the lady in evening gown, carrying a fan, posture one of intimacy, whether actual or desired, with the words “The partner I liked the best”, guard approx. 35 cm; together with a small horn brisé fan with barrel head, pierced and painted in a soft green, the tips pointed, guard approx. 15.5 cm (2) (Shipping category C)
