A late 18th century Chinese finely carved wood brisé fan, featuring a central shield very delicately painted with a rural village scene near water, to the sides of which are carved ovals and other smaller rectangular and circular features, the stick tips containing roundels, guard approx. 26 cm; together with a black wood brisé fan contained in the lower half of an early 19th century fan tube; an unusual inlaid metal and mother of pearl handle for a face screen or fixed fan, and two tourist fans (5) (Shipping category D)
