Early 19th century fans: a very classical bone fan in the Grand Tour style, c 1830’s, the double paper leaf deep, leaving a small, unadorned gorge, the leaf in good strong colours featuring a central oval cartouche depicting a young lady wearing classical robes reading by her window, by the light of a bronze oil lamp with bird feature, a small view of European buildings in the background, two side vignettes contain classical urns, the reserves segmented with further motifs and ornament, the top border with ox sculls adorned with drapes, the whole edged in gold foil, the verso being plain, guard approx. 20cm; together with a bone brisé fan with gothic sticks and a bone fan with completely unadorned cream leaf, edged in gold, guard approx. 17cm (2) (Shipping category C)

The brie ribbon requires replacement. The other two fans are in very good condition, clean, crisp.
