Of French interest: six fans with connections to France, the first a wood fan painted red with narrow fabric leaf, painted with a black cat, purchased in Paris in 2008, Editions EPHI, guard approx. 16 cm; together with a fan for Palais Galliera, the city of Paris’ costume museum, with map of the location on the verso; a tourist fan printed with Hommage de la Vieille Cure on the upper guard; a paper fan advertising the café de Paris; a fan advertising an exhibition at the Musée d’art et Histoire in Geneva in 1994, and a small fan designed and produced by the contemporary fan maker Frédérik Gay, signed, dated ’02 (6) (Shipping category D)
