A Regency engraved and coloured fan with double paper leaf, and slender wood monture with bone thumb guards, the leaf featuring a young mother in Empire line gown, seated with her young child on her back, enjoying the view of ruined buildings beside a large lake with a mountain background, guard approx. 27 cm; together with horn fan, the monture piqué, the salmon pink leaf with net inserts in cabriolet fashion, the silk embroidered with gold sequins and spangles, guard approx. 18.5 cm, and a third fan, probably 1910 -20, bone monture mounted with a cream silk gauze leaf embroidered with silver sequins and spangles, signed to the verso E. Kees, guard approx. 20 cm (3) (Shipping category C)
The Regency fan leaf requires some attention but is essentially sound. The E. Kees fan has some splitting to the net panel and a couple of folds next to the lower guard have been reinforced from behind.
