A selection of 19th and 20th century bags: a good Art Nouveau leather bag, embossed on the front panel, metal frame also with detail, suede lining, approx. 20 cm by 18cm; together with a 19th century woven beaded bag, with front flap, worked in gold and silver beads, lacks strap; another with draw string with floral design; a 1920’s brown suede bag with cream plastic frame and suede handle; a 1950’s beaded bag with gold metal frame, also beaded, gold metal strap, satin lining, most likely French, shades of blue with a myriad of other colours; a 1950’s minaudiere or fitted handbag, in green skin effect, gold metal detail, the interior with red lipstick and two cases, one for cigarettes, the other fitted with powder and puff, unlabeled; a small leather coin purse with red moiré silk lining and gold metal hardware , and a 1970’s black velvet bag with Indian metal thread embroidery showing exotic birds, palms and other foliage, with pink bead detail ( 8) (Shipping category D)
