Circa 1890’s, a German folding fan, en camaieu, believed to show the Ridge of Valkyries, with several interesting features: stag hunt in the background, a well with a shining crown above (?), a ghostly figure to the right, a stone pillar with portrait at the base, and, to the left, a fine cat, a motto in German gracing the upper guard, the verso is plain, guard approx. 34.5cm; together with a very large white gauze fan, painted with swallows in flight, near water, and slender flowering grasses, the monture of wood, painted a pale grey, fitted with a silk tassel and loop to hold the fan when closed, guard approx. 35.5 cm; a paper fan with black varnished sticks, the paper leaf showing Japanese people in robes; guard approx. 28.5 cm (3) (Shipping category C)
The first fan leaf has some splits to the folds, the bird fan has some repaired splits to each side,
