AN ART DECO DRESSING TABLE STAND, the lidded pot having filigree gilt metal mount and finial, surmounted with two gilt kneeling nudes, on a plinth base, 33cm wide
Lid: The gilt filigree metal finial has darkened. I've rubbed the metal and the gilt is coming through the discolouration. I assume from this 'technical' test that with careful cleaning the metal work would brighten up. The alabaster lid has a tight crack or heavy vein running from the centre to the rim.
The alabaster body of the bowl has a tight crack to one side and veins to the well. There are some minor knocks to the rim of the bowl. The alabaster base has knocks all around the edges.
Slight mottled wear to the head of one kneeling girl. Less so on the other.
