Of topographical interest: Five fans, 19th and 20th century, the first a wood brisé, of the type made in Austria, previously lot 237 in the Christie’s fan auction at South Kensington on 16/02/2006, Dr Paul Van Saanen collection, depicting the Paris International Exhibition of 1867, with a view across the Seine, approx. 24 cm; together with a late 19th century wood tourist fan with double paper leaf showing the rock of Gibraltar, the verso plain, guard approx. 38 cm; a 20th century fan , the fabric leaf printed with scenes of the picturesque town of Nordlingen, Bavaria, Germany, wood monture painted red; a large 20th century paper fan on wood monture, the recto marked as showing a Pueblo Espanol, exposition de Barcelona, guard approx. 30 cm, and a Chinese paper fan depicting The Star Lake in Kwag Tung, with a description of the resorts on the verso (5) (Shipping category D)
