A large fan from the Felix Tal collection, purchased in 1994, the bone monture etched with F. Tal 1892 -1967 who housed his fan collection in Amsterdam on the Prinsengracht. the Waaierkabinet, the collection was sold after his death, some acquired by the Beeckestijn Museum in Velsen South, this bone example with detail to the carved and pierced monture is also inlaid with slivers of mother of pearl, their sheen complementing the silk leaf, painted with an interior scene, portraying three ladies in their salon receiving a male visitor carrying documents, the verso is plain, guard length approx. 29 cm; together with a silk fan leaf by A. Lauronce, framed and glazed, portraying a lady in robe à la Polonaise seated in her garden, speaking to her gardener, a birdcage at her feet and a dove next to her on the seat (2) (Shipping category E)

The Tal fan is in poor condition and does not close, having been backed with fabric to ensure no future movement could worsen the condition. Some staining. The loop and tassel are loose.
