A FLEMISH ANTWERP EBONY CABINET ON STAND, LATE 17TH CENTURY of rectangular form, concave moulded top above two field panelled doors, the interior painted with a gentleman and family in various landscapes to the interior of the doors, to an arrangement of nine drawers and to the doors of the central architectural devotional space; the compartment having four angled mirrors and giltwood pilasters flanked by five small drawers to either side with ivory button handles, on an ebony and ivory parquetry veneered floor, a galleried drawer above and another below painted with a waterfall; the stand later made, probably 19th century, having a gadroon carved rim, on barley twist legs, (the cabinet top formerly opening with well, now with replaced ebonised board) 88cm wide x 44cm deep x 143 cm high overall, ivory exemption certificate no AWNCEHNM
