A red Chinese silk skirt, Qing Dynasty, unusually long, cotton waistband, applied with vertical panels of embroidery featuring bats, birds, butterflies, robed figures, some astride green horses, some edged with couched gold thread, the pleated side panels with applied panels from waist to hem, waist approx. 92 cm, length approx. 102 cm; together with a shaped silk panel, embroidered in silks and couched gold metal thread, applied with silver coloured roundels and coloured braids, featuring two dragons, approx. 44 cm by 72 cm, and a particularly large Chinese silk fan sleeve or pouch, in pastel shades of apricot and pale pink, embroidered with silks and couched threads, with pink cord edging which also forms a handle

Skirt: Most likely unused as the pleats are still stitched closed. No staining or fading.
Wear to the embroidery of the shaped panel, mostly present but in need of restoration.
The fan pouch silk is just starting to split.
