From a single volume to large collections Morphets are experienced in the sale of single-owner libraries and also conduct regular auctions of antiquarian and later books.
The Hayhurst Library, recognised as an important private collection, with works dating from 16th century to the mid-20th century including Elzevier and other early printed works attracted a huge amount of interest from both the book trade and private collectors when Morphets offered it in a series of three auctions in 2019 and 2020.
In more recent times we were delighted to receive instructions to sell the library of the late Malcolm Neesam, a highly-regarded local Harrogate historian and archivist.
