A LATE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK, signed to the dial Thos. Withnall of Holywell, having an arched dial with painted moon phase, the 36cm dial with Roman numerals and Arabic numerals to chapter ring, subsidiary dial and date aperture and signed to centre, gilt foliate spandrels, eight day movement striking on a bell, the hood having three finials above a broken arch pediment and verre eglomise panels, twin reeded pilasters above satinwood and mahogany banding, panels of figured mahogany, short trunk door with oval panel, boxwood and ebony stringing flanked by reeded pilaster to either side, the lower panel with circular vaneer, shaped apron and splayed feet, 250cm high
