A 19TH CENTURY FAMILLE ROSE BALUSTER VASE with 'dog of fo' mask and ring handles, painted with figures on a garden terrace watching young girls afloat and picking water lilies from a pond, within a panel, the opposing panel with mandarin on horseback surrounded by his foot soldiers with weapons drawn, against a peony and blossom filled ground with birds and butterflies, two further panels to the neck, panel border to the foot, now converted to a lamp 56cm to neck, 78cm to top of chrome fitting (crack running from neck)
The neck rim has been clumsily painted blue. There is a two line crack on the rim that runs into one which is approximately 20 - 22cm long, the other side of the neck has been damaged and badly repaired. There is a crack running into the body approximately 23cm long. There is a drip of black paint to the foot rim and a splash at the top of the border. The gilt on the dogs of fo handles is rubbed. Vibrant enamel colours and well painted.
