Late 19th century fans with fabric leaves: a very large bone fan with cream silk satin leaf, painted with a tree branch serving as home to five small birds, guard approx. 38 cm; together with a large black wood fan mounted with floral black moiré silk, guard approx.
34.5 cm; a wood fan with painted black sticks, the fabric leaf printed with a gathering for music and dance; a black wood fan, the leaf part black silk, part woven silk ribbon, fitted with a metal chain and fan closure loop, and a final fan, the cream cotton leaf painted with a stone tower and associated ancient building, the painting continuing into the gorge, the upper section of leaf being a floral printed cotton, the verso a full leaf od pale blue cotton printed with flowers (5)
