A selection of mainly ostrich feather fans, dating from c 1900 to the 1920’s: A good size white ostrich fan, the monture of white mother of pearl with hairpiece feather attached to the upper guard, height approx. 38 cm; together with another similar; another, much larger, needing attention, height approx. 52 cm; a wood fan mounted with red marabou feathers, and two shaped 1920’s fans mounted with white marabou (6)
Broken gorge stick on the first fan, part with feather attached present. Second fan requires attention and has a broken gorge stick. The larger fan has a broken guard, section is present, and feathers that need reapplying to the ribs. The marabou fans are sound but with moulting feathers.
