Sewing accoutrements, 19th and 20th century: a large Victorian cotton pincushion, formed in segments, domed, corded, embellished with metal stars, approx. 14 cm in diameter, 10 cm tall, very heavy; together with a hexagonal varnished wood box, a label inside advertising Eagley Mills, Bolton ( 18th/19th century, former cotton mill), the lid top showing a bird in flight, the base with small holes, approx. 10.5 by 5 cm; a decorative pair of metal scissors, marked “Germany and “Silver ( test as silver)…….; a needlecase retailed in Lisbon but made in Germany by Carl Schleicher & Sohne; an Art Nouveau packet of needles, unused, good graphics; a leather needlecase with leather and felt appliqué of a crinoline lady and roses, English; another in black silk applied with a metal thread motif, the interior marked for Chenille, straw, sharps and darning, and a tortoiseshell tatting shuttle (8 ) (Shipping category D)
